Gnome

Physical Characteristics: Gnomes are short, stout cousins of dwarves. They have more delicate facial features, but similar builds. They usually have either gray, black, or brown hair, and brown, silver, or gray eyes. Their skin is either a shade of brown or tan. They stand between three and four-and-a-half feet tall, and weigh from 90 to 150 pounds.

Social Attributes: Gnome are much more genial and friendly than dwarves. They are talkative and giddy when around company, and love to discuss technical matters with their peers. Gnomes have a strong knack for invention, and, as such, a large quantity of gnomes are successful engineers. Gnomes have little tolerance for orcs, ogres, or hobgoblins, whom they consider bullies, but will endure the company of almost anyone else willing to do the same. They are especially fond of hobbits, dwarves, and fae.

Roleplaying Notes: An adventuring gnome is usually seeking wealth, or fame for his inventions. He could be trying to work out the "kinks" in his invention by continually testing it. Nonetheless, a gnome is generally never the leader of a group; he almost always follows as an assistant. Gnomes prove themselves worthy through their ingenious (if dangerous) contraptions, their skill at logic, and their loyalty to friends.
