Fae

Physical Characteristics: Fae are tiny fairies with wings capable of lifting their fragile bodies. They have brown, blond, white, or silver hair, and green, blue, or silver eyes. They grow from six to eight inches in height and 5 to 10 pounds in weight.

Social Attributes: Fae are optimistic and light-hearted creatures. They take very little seriously, except perhaps their magical studies and the welfare of themselves and their allies. They have close relations with elves and centaurs, and easily befriend gnomes and halflings. They tend to remain distant from other races, however. Fae seldom leave their native island, which is surrounded by a magical field that prevents non-fae from accessing it. They excel in the magical arts, and use their magic talents to do what they lack the physical strength to accomplish.

Roleplaying Notes: Fae rarely adventure, because they have very few reasons to. They don't place much value in wealth, and avoid wars at all costs. Your character may be searching for ancient magical texts or artifacts, or may just want to increase their skill at magic with practice. Perhaps they journey to help people in far-off lands with their powers, or to teach their arts to other races.
